How to Convert Facebook Profile Into Facebook Fans Page?

Having Facebook profile for your community, company or organization could be bad idea. Why? Because Facebook profile is intended for individual people to interact with your friend and family. Especially when your community become bigger and bigger. You will find it difficult to accept all friend requests, everyday.

1. Login into your Facebook account.

2. Visit this link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php?migrate to begin migration.

3.  You will be redirected into Facebook page creation. Select category which is best match to your company or organization.

4. Input page name ane tick on the I agree to Facebook Pages Terms checkbox. The page name must exactly similar to your previous profile name. I was failed when trying to type different name. Click Get Started to continue.

5. Confirm your Facebook password if asked.

6. Fill the page description, website url for your page and click Save Info

7. Done. Your Facebook pforile is now a fans page. People can simply click Like to follow your updates and become fans.

Note:

When you convert your personal account to a Facebook Page, only your current profile picture will be transfered and your friends and followers become people who like your Page. Your account’s username will become the username for your Page, and the name associated with your personal account will become your Page’s name. If you want your Page to have a different name, consider creating a new one.
